The movie isn't (as I said above) the masterpiece we've been waiting for all the time. The has some quite boring scenes (The love story thing at Elron's House and those stupidly long traveling-parts) that make this movie a bit too long (if you cut this scenes it would be half an hour shorter. Also some of the scenes (especially the one with the ringwraiths in the bedroom) looked like a direct copy from the old animated movie. So, this movie isn't true to the hype that was made about it, but it is still a good but long movie.

To love this movie you must have some idea of the story. If you don't have time to read the book, then get it on tape or CD. If you don't like that idea then rent the cartoon version. Or even let someone you know that has read the books tell you what the storys basic plot is. Some how or some way don't go into this move blind. To those who have read Lord of the Rings. Go See It. I don't think words can describe the nostalgia one feels when they see a panning shot of the Shire and hear Concerning Hobbits playing in the background. I was introduced to LotR only in the last year, so this is not coming from someone who grew up with it. I don't know what I would give to live in the Shire. I hope to one day visit New Zealand and go to Hobbiton. These are the best movies (and books) on the face of the planet, in my opinion. I would give almost anything to have had a part (even the most minuscule part) in one of the films, but alas, I was not old enough. And they may do a remake someday, but it just wouldn't be the same...
